Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently met with President Trump and a group of women business leaders in Washington, D.C., to discuss women in the workforce.
Many people couldn’t help but notice the handshake between the two world leaders upon greeting, but it’s the picture Ivanka Trump posted to Twitter, closing out the roundup, that has people talking.
Ivanka has been an advocate for women’s issues since the beginning of her father’s campaign, and she is known for speaking passionately about wage equality, childcare, education, and increasing the opportunities available for women.
The first daughter has never been far behind her father in the White House, as she is often spotted at meetings with foreign dignitaries, even accompanying her father to the “dignified transfer” of a fallen Navy SEAL to pay respects to his family.
After reportedly recruiting the attendees and setting the agenda for the women’s meeting with her father and Prime Minister Trudeau, it’s no surprise she would reinforce the importance of “leaning in” on the issues concerning women in the workforce.
